A PRAYER GUIDE

We have talked a lot this spring about prayer and how we can become better at it and more consistent at it. I found a recent article which offers a lot of helpful guidance on prayer including discussion on why we should pray, hindrances to prayer and bad prayer habits, and good prayer habits and a prayer checklist. IMPORTANT NEWS

Sunday is an important day for a couple of reasons. FIrst, it is Mother's Day so if you forgot you better go now and buy your mom something nice. Second, it is our last regular UMYF meeting of the school year. This will be an important meeting so please try to be there (We will at least try to have more people show up than last week to help clean the church). We wil be talking about some important thing and preparing for Youth Sunday which is June 4th. I guess we are having pizza since no one has volunteered to do dinner. I'll see everyone Sunday!

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Today is National Day of Prayer. I hope you will remember to pray for everyone who is need of God's help. Our friends and families, our local and national leaders, our troops overseas and their families left at home, the homeless and hungry--everyone and anyone in need of the courage, forgiveness, mercy, and salvation that only God can provide but that we can help encourage through prayer.

On this National Day of Prayer please take some time to pray for all these needs and any other needs that you are aware of. Have you all remembered to pray this week for the prayer concern that you tok home on your paper towel?

BACK TO BLOGGING

Well it's been more than a month since I last posted here and things have been pretty crazy and have found myself quite time-challenged when it comes to being able to post anything here. But I am going to try to make a better effort (again) to add some stuff on a daily basis. So keep checking here and I will keep writing.

This Sunday we are going to clean out the youth room (and get it ready for painting over the summer) and clean out the junk room across from the parlor. But we are also going to save some time to go eat dinner together somewhere after we finish cleaning. So be on time so we can get the cleaning done early and bring a few dollars for dinner. I am open to suggestions for where we eat. Alex wanted Taco Bell last time we went to eat so that idea is leading right now. But I am willing to entertain other restaurant suggestions.

It's aqbout time to start CCC tool gathering. If you haven't paid your final $25 deposit, it was due last month! I don't think I have money yet from Sarah, Emily, Anne Marie, and Caitlyn.
