WE GOT SPROUTS

Our prayer pot filled with the seeds of love we sowed during out ski trip is starting to show some growth. We've got some sprouts of green. No other colors yet or blooming flowers but I am already impressed that we even managed to plant something while in the snowy mountains in January and bring it home and give it some care and watch it grow. Hopefully your seeds of love planted during our ski retreat are continuing to be cultivated in your own life and you are taking care to have that love grow by the way you treat others.

AMERICAN IDOL MANIA

were y'all some of the one million viewers from the Piedmont who tuned in to watch American Idol in Greensboro? They selected 11 contestants from the area to go on to Hollywood. Y'all know that if they would have raised the age limit a little, then I would have been #12. I would have used my cool girl voice. And there is no way that Randy, Paula, and Simon could have said no to me in my new shirt.

So Skiing Sure was Sweet. Snow was Stupendous. Sardines was Short-lived but S'mores were Scruptous. Airhorns Sounded Sort of like Sirens. Watched lots of Sports and Silly Shows. Snap-It Girls Sang Sweetly.

LOVE JOURNEY

Less than one week before we go on our "Love Journey." It should be a good ski trip and it is supposed to be snowing up there Saturday night and Sunday. We'll get on board to start the journey next Friday at 4:00 in the church parking lot. See you there.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

2006 is here. 2005 was such a ... long year. I'm looking for new opportunities and a new attitude for this year. In 2006, I resolve:

to pray unceasingly
to spend daily alone time with my Lord
to be a better husband and a better father
to get in better shape so I can keep up with all of y'all when we are playing games
to put ideas into action instead of just having them languish as ideas
to get the youth room painted
to get us some t-shirts
to be amazed daily by the world created by my God
to do something amazing daily for the world created by my God

NEW YEAR...NEW TRY

OK so maybe there are a few who are reading it so I will try to keep doing the blog thing. It's a New Year so I'll take a new perspective and look to have some fun with it.
